So… I’m super sick again.
I have viral laryngitis which is as nice as it sounds :(
I’m gonna try to have a post up later for you guys but I may pass out where I’m sitting to be honest.
I’m still having MASSIVE issues with every viewer i can find
i’m good until i turn on atmospheric shaders and shadows
then this happens
you probably can’t see it all that well, but there’s some weird kind of… thing going on with the shadows, especially on my avatars face
i can occasionally get shadows to work on fs but it crashes 99/100 times when i’m trying to take a picture
so my upcoming blog post will only have one picture instead of my normal three, sorry about that guys but i’m having real difficulties right now and i can’t figure out what the problem is :(
so, that’s all three viewers that won’t run on medium, let alone ultra + shadows… every viewer i have has crashed me repeatedly tonight, so honestly, i’m done even attempting to blog. apologies for the delay, so long as this hunk of shit i call a laptop is actually working well enough tomorrow, i’ll be posting something from going bust for you all
if not, well, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
which helly grymmy deer should i get guys?! i’m trying to decide between cupid, dancer and comet :(
I could have sworn that I’d posted about this already, but Hero doesn’t really want to be in world at the moment due to a few things happening in first life. Because of this, posts have been infrequent and she hasn’t really been in world at all. I’m going to try my best to get a post done tonight, but no promises seeing as I think I’m also coming down with the flu and the Arcade is happening… Damn it.
i had a discussion inworld the other day about raw vs photoshopped images on sl blogs and i’m curious about what our followers and fellow tumblr users think about the whole raw vs photoshopped thing when it comes to fashion blogs.
how much editing do you think is ‘too much’ when you’re trying to show off an item or items? by that, i mean on a fashion blog. like, does it bother you if an image is edited so much that you can’t see the alpha issues or glaringly obvious seams before you buy that product in world or demo it? or doesn’t that bother you at all? do you prefer images to be heavily edited so you can’t see seams or slightly glitched or pixellated shadows?
the person i was talking to preferred things to be totally raw and without shadows in a studio type setting with a neutral wl, i prefer unedited, (or lightly edited to hide issues with the default av mesh and that kind of thing,) but with atmospheric shading and shadows very much on and wl used to its full potential. however, i do follow a lot of people on flickr who edit heavily and even totally repaint things, but i follow them for the art and likely wouldn’t buy any products in their posts without getting a demo and having a seriously good look at the thing myself. what do you guys prefer? do you even have a preference? or does it depend on why you follow the blogger/flickrite?
